Hyatt Regency Sacramento Completes $15 Million Guestroom Renovation
SACRAMENTO, CA , September 1, 2009 – The Hyatt Regency Sacramento, the capital’s premier downtown luxury hotel recently completed a $15 million renovation. Located across the street from the California State Capitol and adjacent to the Sacramento Convention Center, the Hyatt Regency Sacramento offers 503 guestrooms, 28,000 square feet of function space and two award winning restaurants designed to meet the needs of convention attendees and business travelers.
The 15-story hotel Mediterranean designed building was built in 1988 and features two floors of meeting space, 12 guestroom floors and a roof top banquet room. Renovation to the guestooms and suites began in November 2008 and were completed in June 2009. The project was the creative endeavor of Looney & Associates, an interior design firm from Austin, Texas. Stately elegance was the inspiration for the design, which incorporates a palette of deep chocolate, rich burgundy and vivid gold to create a modern and sophisticated retreat within the heart of the capital city.
Business and leisure travelers alike will appreciate the luxurious ambiance created by dramatically scaled upholstered headboards, generously sized work surfaces, comfortable chaise lounges and custom designed decorative lighting fixtures. The clean lines, warm wood tones and refined color schemes extend into the corridor creating a seamless transition from private areas to public spaces. The strong rectangular shapes within the corridor carpet define interior pathways and reflect the ordered geometry that is witnessed in the city’s modern architecture. Tailored wood framed panels and recessed niches provide visual interest and create a unique backdrop for the modern artwork. The alluring design and enhanced comfort of the new rooms will leave guests well-rested, re-energized and ready for all that Sacramento has to offer.
The Hyatt Regency Sacramento offers a variety of guestrooms, including executive kings, 18 deluxe suites and Regency Club accommodations. Rooms feature plush Hyatt Grand Beds™, 42-inch flat screen televisions, iHome iPod alarm clocks, spacious workstations with ergonomic chairs and state of the art power and outlet docks. Some rooms feature over sized showers and Juliet balconies
The Hyatt Regency Sacramento provides guests with concierge service, on-site business center, express check-in/check-out, VIP options, 24-hour StayFit@Hyatt gym and large outdoor free-from swimming pool heated year round and surrounded by lush landscaping.
